Newcastle Eagles, for sponsorship purposes Esh Group Newcastle Eagles, is a British Basketball League team based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Holding the franchise for Tyne & Wear, they are the most successful team in the league’s history. Since 2010, the Eagles have played all home games at the 3,000 capacity Sport Central arena at Northumbria University in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.[1]The Eagles will move into the purpose built Eagles Community Arena on the 11th January 2018 when they host the Plymouth Raiders.[2]. Their traditional arch rivals are the Glasgow Rocks, however in recent years a rivalry with the Leicester Riders has also developed.

The British Basketball League, often abbreviated to the BBL, is a men’s professional basketball league in Great Britain, the highest level of play in the country. The BBL runs two knockout competitions alongside the BBL Championship; the BBL Cup and the BBL Trophy, as well as the post-season Play-offs.
Surrey Scorchers
The Surrey Scorchers are an English professional basketball team based in Guildford, Surrey, that compete in the British Basketball League.
The team was established in 2005 as the Guildford Heat by fans of former British Basketball League team Thames Valley Tigers, who folded during the same year. Making an appearance in the ULEB Cup in 2007, the franchise was rebranded as the Surrey Heat in 2012. After the sale of the franchise by former owner Alison Reeve, the Heat were rebranded once again in September 2013 to become Surrey United. The franchise became wholly owned by Surrey Sports Park in June 2015, and was rebranded as the Surrey Scorchers. They originally played their home games at the Guildford Spectrum, before moving to the Surrey Sports Park in 2015.
Worcester Wolves
Worcester Wolves is a basketball team from the city of Worcester which competes in the British Basketball League. From the start of the 2013–14 season they played their home games at the newly constructed 2,000-seat capacity Worcester Arena, moving away from their previous home at the University of Worcester, where they had previously been based since the team’s establishment in 2000.
Sheffield Sharks
Sheffield Sharks is a professional basketball team from the city of Sheffield, England. They are currently known as “DBL Sharks Sheffield” for sponsorship reasons. Sharks currently play in the British Basketball League and play their home fixtures at English Institute of Sport – Sheffield. They are one of the most successful teams in the history of British basketball, second only to Newcastle Eagles, and dominated the domestic scene throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.
